Professional Pictures!

Instead of the usual Monday Mashup (because I still need to figure out how to get my pics from my new iphone to the computer) I'm excited to share our professional pictures! We had these done on Conrad's 9 month birthday and they are fantastic! We were very fortunate that someone Sean was friends with in high school turned out to be a professional photographer. She did an amazing job! Here are some of my favs:

My handsome boys!

Those teething necklaces are great!

Love this one!

I'm probably biased but I have an amazing family! We had such a great time taking these. We went to the center of our town  and it was the perfect setting with lots of different options. It was cloudy the whole time and towards the end I thought for sure there would be hurricane-like storms but the weather held out long enough for us to take some great pictures. If anyone needs a great photographer in the DC-metro area, let me know!

Sunday Not Funday

So like all good things, our vacation had to come to an end last week. It went by WAAAAAYY too fast. And let me tell you - beach trips with baby are VERY different than beach trips without. It was pretty relaxing, thanks in large part to my amazing mother-in-law, and taking care of a baby at the beach is better than working all day and coming home to take care of baby; however, still not the same. I'll post some pictures after I upload them.

Knowing you have to work on Mondays do not make Sundays very fun. Especially on days like today where Sean was gone practically the whole day to a Nats game so I was alone with Conrad ALL DAY - I don't know how you stay at home moms do it, IT'S HARD. And did I mention he has been teething and a straight up B-RAT the past week? I LOVE LOVE LOVE my kid so much but sometimes he drives me straight up the wall. I feel like sometimes the only way he's happy is if he's eating. Hence, these pictures:

Mmm...Bananas!

Nom Nom Nom
Trying some watermelon

Yummmm!
Feed me and I'm happy!
It's a tough job but someone's got to do it

Sweet Summertime

Tomorrow we leave for the beach for a whole week! Whoo-hoo! While I'm super excited for vacation I'm also a LITTLE (ok, A LOT) nervous about driving for 7 hours avec bebe and beaching it with a 9 month old. I've probably over packed and over planned but hey, its our first go-round so we'll learn. In anticipation of the beach, here's some cute water pics of Conrad's first time in the baby pool!

I don't know about this Dad

I don't like it!

Ok...if Pop-Pop gets in with me I'm ok

Hey, this water stuff is alright as long as I get to chew on things

Cousin Brayden joins in!

Now we're ready to test out that big pool they call the ocean!

In the next week I'll be reading up on what to bring for baby at the beach, packing, and doing last minute shopping to get ready - any tips for this new mom on traveling with baby?

My Main Man

Just in case you forgot, I'm re-Introducing my little love:

He was 10 days early, the first three months were the hardest in my life,  I haven’t slept past 7 am in over a year, and I still don’t have my pre-baby body back yet but IT IS ALL WORTH IT!

My nephew, Brayden, was born the year before, on August 6, 2011. He was SO adorable, so sweet, and I was hooked.

My sweet nephew, Brayden Thomas

By the time I got pregnant in January of 2012, I was SO nervous that I wouldn’t love my own baby as much as I loved my nephew. Ha. Not even close. I love Conrad so much that now I’m worried to have a second child, in fear that I won’t love him or her as much as my sweet bug. This is now my excuse for waiting five years a couple years to have another; if it were up to Sean, we would already be pregnant again. Clearly he doesn’t remember those aforementioned horrible first three months with a newborn.

Conrad is no longer that screaming three month old but a happy, energetic, playful, smart, and loving eight month old. Each morning seeing his smile when I get him out of bed is the best way to start my day and cuddling him in his rocker before bed is the best way to spend the night. Sure, we still have our bad spots (for instance, when the teething monster is in town) but they are ALL WORTH IT! Seeing him develop each and every day makes this mom proud. I cherish each passing day and I’m excited for the future yet wish time would stop. Do all Moms feel this way?

I love this little man!
